Allen Hessler was born in Winnipeg , Manitoba, and studied at the University  of Manitoba and L’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux- Arts de Paris.  He taught  silkscreen and relief  printmaking at the University of Manitoba from 1981 until  1987.  Moving home and studio to Montréal in 1987, he has continued to paint and draw and to make silkscreen prints over the years.  Recently, he has returned to one of his first loves, printing on the press. His upcoming exhibition ‘’Voyage Graphique’’ will present  recent works using the technique of dry point and colour monoprint.  These prints were created using AKUA intaglio and Liquid pigment inks. Other relief prints cut from rubber linoleum blocks and  printed with Speedball water-based  acrylic  printing inks will also be featured.

Robin Bloom

Robin Bloom is an autodidactic sculptor living in Lake Brom.  In her own words, " The sculptor in me was awoken in 2004 while crying, and  walking through the carnage of a clear cut forest. In the debris I saw a small piece of wood and thought, "There is something beautiful in there." My work has grown from that moment and through my sculptures I transform the ugliness in life into beauty as well as express the beauty that I feel.  I work sitting in the grass barefoot where I wrap myself  around  my stones, holding them with my legs, feet and body. Every piece has my blood, sweat, and often my tears.

Robin's  work can be found in private collections across Canada.
