ARTNOW presents:

Lise Sorenson:
Lise Sorensen embodies all of our romantic ideas of the ''plein air'' painter. With great love and enthusiasm, she tirelessly braves the forces of nature as she paints the harsh coastal beauty of Newfoundland.

Lise has been teaching painting and drawing for 30 years in Newfoundland and Quebec. She has taught at Memorial University's Grenfell College, where she designed and taught a master class in design for theatre, at MUN Extension Arts in St. Johns and Corner Brook, as well as at the Community College in Stephenville. Her work can be found in many public and private collections.

Daniel Tanguay

Throughout his life Daniel has questioned man's relationship to nature.  Coupled with his interest in the phenomenon of perception he expresses these feelings through art.

Born in Sept Iles on the north shore of the St Lawrence River about 800 km north east of Montreal, Daniel grew up in a mining town surrounded by the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other side. His formative years were spent exploring the forests expecting to get a glimpse at wildlife and staring at northern skies. Daniel moved to Montreal graduated  in Environmental Design from UQAM.
