ARTNOW presents:

Bev Wight

Bev Wight is a contemporary acrylics and water media artist and educator who has participated in exhibitions in New York, Winnipeg, and Montreal. She chooses to paint bold contemporary, often large paintings. Working on canvas as well as paper, Wight's acrylic images endeavour to go beyond the color fields of yesterday and engage the viewer in a personal, esoteric way.  Wight has studied painting, visual design and art theory in formal and informal  art facilities. Her work is in private and corporate collections throughout Europe and Canada, including  the Colart Collection in Montreal.

Diane Collet

Diane Collet was born in Shawinigan, Quebec and holds B.F.A. and M.A. degrees from Concordia University. She loves word/image play depicting what is essentially eccentric about human existence.  Her creative inspiration stems from incongruous associations, visual analogies, and metaphors. Expressive acrylic paintings, digital prints, multimedia works and drawings distort her subjects, giving them both a humoristic yet often vaguely unsettling cast. Collet has exhibited in North America and abroad and her work can be found in public and private collections in the U.K., Australia, Japan, United States and Canada. She lives and works in the Montreal area.
