ARTNOW presents:

José Duclos

The watercolors of José Duclos are distinguished by the contrasts of zones of sfumato juxtaposed with others of vigorous brushstrokes in frank colors. The Artist does not fear to abstract the space. Delicate drawings and a refined palette  recall the beauty of her subjects and bring to light a very personal poetry. José Duclos develops and teaches wet-on-wet watercolor techniques  since 1990; she is an inspiring and a sought-after teacher who knows how to transmit her  passion.

Lynda Schneider Granatstein

Lynda Schneider Granatstein has been a professional artist for over 30 years, and has had over 20 solo shows and hundreds of exhibitions and publications about her,  throughout North America and Europe. While she was trained as a psychological counsellor specializing in Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, she concurrently studied art, beginning with Arthur Lismer of the Group of Seven at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, followed by Concordia, the Saidye Bronfman Centre, and Daniel Green, and other venues of study throughout her career.  Her work as a therapist, printmaker and mixed media artist has culminated in works rich in texture and color, layered in collage, imbued with psychological dynamics.   She is represented by galleries across Canada and the States.
